A 2.5 km evening stroll with a chance of seeing otters
This walk is relatively easy and is a lovely evening stroll ending up by the lake where the otters tend to play in the evenings at dusk. If you are quiet and lucky you may get chance to see one.
It has a small amount of road work, some tracks and field and wood paths.

At the campsite gate turn left down the road towards the lake.
Walk over the lake/river and start to go up the hill past the first path round the lake.
On your left you will see a gap in the hedge with a path. This is signposted by an orange sign with a horse shoe.
Follow this path through some trees and round the edge of the field towards the woods.
When you enter the woods the path goes to the right up a very straight path between the trees.
At the top you skirt a small field and exit the field by a gate onto a quiet road.
At the road turn left and continue towards the houses.
Carry straight on at the houses the road turns into a track towards the lake.
When you get to the lake car park, to come back to the campsite turn left.
Of course if you turn right here you continue with the lake tour and add a further 5 km to your walk.
It is on the bank of lake that you may see the otters playing. We have seen them once at dusk.
Carry onto the road and then turn right back up the road to the campsite.
Do let us know what wildlife you have seen.
