I said it before and I‘ll say it again, the snack shack renovations should be completed for the coming weekend for a first try out of the season!!
My excuses for it being delayed twice:
Sorry to those of you who missed out. But snack shack burgers will be back. They should be on the menu the weekend of the 7th June, 21st June and the 28th of June. Sadly, the weekend of the 14th I am back in the UK to help my daughter after a long-awaited knee operation.
After a magnificent bank holiday weekend when we were full to capacity, the weather has taken a bit of a turn and decided to water our thirsty gardens.
But it's intermittent, quite warm and let's face it, with the right clothes, most activities can still take place. As a wise old camper once told me “There is never the wrong weather in Brittany just the wrong clothes.”
So far in Commana there has been a successful ultra trail and a championship sailing competition. Coming up in Jume we have the triathlon on the 22nd June and the "fete des bancs" on the 29th. This has the potential to attract 2000 people to the area and from what I can understand involves art installations on each of the benches round the lake! Of course, on this day we will stock up on ice creams and tea and coffee.
There is always something going on. The ebb and flow of the campsite we are always preparing for new happenings every year. The key ingredients though are fairly stable. The beautiful lake with top quality water to swim and play in. The strong, wise trees standing guard and helping us to breath. The varied and plentiful wildlife that shares this lovely space and of course you our lovely campers who we can enjoy it all with.
